Laminate flooring is a wood-derived product consisting of several different layers. The wear layer, commonly known as the overlay, is made from special melamine resin saturated cellulose that provides a long wearing, durable, and extremely stain resistant surface.
The top décor layer gives laminate flooring its characteristics and charm, while a densely compressed core, produced from recycled wood chips, and available in a high density fiber (HDF) or particle board format, provides it's strength. Lastly, an impregnated counter-acting backing ensures stability and acts as a natural moisture barrier.
Laminate comes in an assortment of products including traditional wood styles, antique distressed planks, and "stone" tile designs. We also carry several products with the latest glue less interlocking technology also known as "Click" products. Installed without any glue whatsoever, these floors are excellent for the do-it-yourselfer.
