Remodel Process and Tips

Planning a Kitchen, Bath or any home renovation is exciting but can be overwhelming. At Worldwide Kitchen & Bath Studios we strive to make the entire process easy. Whether you are planning a full kitchen or bathroom renovation or have projects like a mud room, wine cellar, closet or a simple guest bath update Worldwide's Kitchen & Bath Studio designers in our Edison and Old Bridge, New Jersey locations can complete the entire project from floor to ceiling, from design to perfect installation. We make it easy!

THE PROCESS

Schedule An Appointment. Contact one of our design professionals to schedule an initial consultation. This initial appointment is free and takes about 30-45 minutes. We will introduce you to our wide range of product lines, discuss your project budget, review how the space is to function, and focus on styles.

Measure and Design. For our clients who would like to move forward we will need precise measurements and will collect a $150 measure fee. For this fee, our professional contractor will come to your home and measure the space. Your designer will use the measurements to create your custom plan on our state-of-the-art CAD (computer aided design) program, 2020 - Watch our "Designing you kitchen with 20/20" Video. We will design the layout based on your cabinetry/finish choice and provide a quote. We can also assist you in choosing flooring, countertops, backsplash tile, so you will have a complete design. Once you move forward with the full order, the $150 measure fee is credited to your order. This combined with our other promotions and 0% financing offers make Worldwide Kitchen & Bath Studio the right choice for your kitchen or bath remodeling project.

If you have your own General Contractor, we will work with them and they can verify quantities and measurements.

Final Design Review. Once the initial design is completed we schedule you for a second appointment to review the design and material choices. At this time, we will make any revisions that will take us to the next step of getting your order processed. It's that simple!

Before any orders for cabinetry are placed, we will require a final measure from one of our staff or a sign off from your contractor to place the orders. Now we are on our way.

REMODELING TIPS

Remodeling or updating a kitchen or bathroom can add beauty, functionality and value to your home, however the process can feel overwhelming. To make the process easier, we recommend before you start your kitchen or bath remodel you review our ten helpful tips listed below.

  1. Do your homework and create a priority list of things that you love, must have and can't give up.
  2. Work only with qualified professional designers and contractors who will guide you through the entire process. Ask to see their portfolio of projects they have completed for other customers and do your research.
  3. Have a budget in mind and create a timeline for the renovation and stick to it.
  4. Get thoughtful about the layout of the room. Consider how the space should function and if moving from station to station is convenient. Also consider who will be using the space. Is the project for a master bath, kid or guest bath? Research the cost of items like stoves and refrigerators.
  5. Not hiring a contractor or designer? Worldwide's Kitchen & Bath Studio designers and installers have been in the renovation business for years and have the knowledge, talent, ideas, and resources to make the project flow more efficiently.
  6. Be smart about installing cabinets. Cabinetry installation is an art and is not done by anyone. Use only experts for a perfect installation.
  7. Pick flooring that is both practical and beautiful. It all starts from the floor. Once the floor is decided upon, the cabinetry, countertop, tile and other materials follow. Choose the flooring that fits your budget and your lifestyle.
  8. Remember that, in a kitchen, good lighting is key.
  9. Pay attention to the details.
  10. Set up a temporary kitchen or alternate bath while your renovation is taking place. This will make the process a bit less overwhelming.
