Flooring for basements - what’s the best?

If you have a damp basement, with the tendency to get moisture when it rains; Luxury vinyl it is.

If you have a dry basement, and the sump pump never turns on, any hard surface product such as engineered wood, laminate, or luxury vinyl are all great options. Engineered wood, which is glued to the slab, will give the most solid/firm feel under foot.

Dry or damp, carpet is also a great option for basements. Carpet and pad provide comfort, insulation and warmth to a cold basement.
